Making Alien head earrings

Earrings, in the workshop
First I make my image to cut out using a vector based program, print it out and glue it to the silver.
Next I drill out a small hole where the silver is to be removed.
I cut the eye section of the design first and then follow the outline of the head shape with a traditional jewellers saw and fine blades.
I then remove the paper template and apply soldering paste to the design ready for soldering to the back layer.
After soldering the individual earrings can be cut closer to shape, again using the jewellers saw and finished with a fine hand file.
The stud fittings are soldered to the back of the design and then polished. The fronts are oxidised to bring out the depth of the eyes and then a frosted finish applied. They are now ready to be packaged up
